Last Day of School!
One week ago was the last day of school. Every first grader got lunch from Sonic that day. Our class also had some cake.

In the picture above this, I am with another boy. His name is Spencer. I like him too. Sometimes at recess Spencer, Ben, and I played together. I can't play with Spencer because I don't know where he lives. He is pretty fun to play with.
This is me with my teacher, Mrs. Goodenberger. We also had a student teacher named Miss Anderson, but she only stayed until December. I'm glad I had Mrs. Goodenberger because she won the No Child Left Behind 2005 American Star of Teaching Award (This is Sharon: There was only one awarded in each state, and it was presented by someone from the Education Department in DC.) If you can see right below the words on my shirt, there is something looking like a picture. That picture is a picture of me with an astronaut (it was paper). The stars on it are glow-in-the-dark!
I wasn't that happy about the school year being over because I won't be in Mrs. Goodenberger's class again. We were standing outside with our teacher for about a minute, then the bell rang. The noise was really loud right after the bell rang. There were children cheering, screaming, whistling, and clapping really loud! It lasted for about a minute and then stopped. There were people running out of the school. I was glad after the noise stopped because it was hurting my ears!
I gave my teacher an Eric Carle book. It made noise. You had to push a button and then you heard a little rubber duck squeaking. The noise was a rubber duck because the book's called 10 Little Rubber Ducks. My teacher said she could teach lots of things with it.
I can't wait until I can see Mrs. Goodenberger and her little first graders next year.

I'm glad you really liked your teacher. You'll have so much fun in second grade!
